Consultation with a Representative:

Discuss with a Destination Weight Loss Representative to understand the benefits you can expect from undergoing weight loss surgery and how it can transform your life.

Medical Evaluation:

If you’re satisfied with the potential benefits, the next step involves providing detailed medical information through a questionnaire and scheduling a consultation with a surgeon. This includes obtaining a referral from your GP, undergoing a blood test (for which we’ll provide the pathology form), and possibly other pre-surgical evaluations.

Meeting with the Surgeon:

During your consultation with the weight loss surgeon, either in-person or via telehealth, you’ll discuss your health history, previous weight loss attempts, expectations, and the risks associated with the surgery. This is also the time to discuss funding options, such as using your Superannuation for the surgery. Some patients may require additional tests or a sleep study before proceeding further.

Hospital Admission and Surgery:

On the day of your surgery, you’ll be admitted to the hospital, undergo the procedure, and typically stay for 1-2 nights for initial recovery.

Post-Surgery Diet and Recovery:
